The 4x4x4 cube is just a little harder than the 3x3x3. First get the "centres", then pair the edges, then solve using your favourite 3x3 method. Beware of those nasty parity cases! Single solve record belongs to Sebastian Weyer (17.42s) and the average record to Max Park (21.11s)
RESULTS OF SPEEDCUBING COMPETITION
Daniel Rush won with an average of 7.02 seconds in the 3x3x3 Cube event. Raphael Fast finished second (9.83) and Jesse Osburn finished third (11.54). African records: Daniel Rush 5x5x5 Cube 46.37 (single) and 5x5x5 Cube 50.02 (average); Jesse Osburn Pyraminx 2.18 (single).
